Equal opportunity here. I just have to like it.

Started the day with some ToT Nilgiri Blue.

Teaware from East and West, as one would expect when on a global tea journey with no specific destination in mind.

Started the day with estate Ceylon tea, moving on to oolong.

I think I have equal amounts of western-style and Chinese/Japanese teaware. Nothing expensive or particularly fancy though, I just buy what I find beautiful and/or useful.

Having some Dong Ding right now thanks to the fantastic Victoria. =)

My main focus is Japanese. I also like Korean.
But in surveying my loot, I must be honest and
respond:

ThéWare from everywhere or more than one country

Started the morning with Koucha a nice Japanese Black,
then moved on to AliShan from CS. Overdue for my
next oolong now.

Teaware simply has to be lovely. I like many styles, all price ranges. Even within one "country" range - say, Japan - there is a multitude of styles to admire and enjoy (as all of you know, mostly better than I do)

Today I am once again drinking the Ruby Black tea from Tillerman Teas. I have gone from "raisin" to "blackcurrant" to "ripe sweet cherry" in how I think of its scent... but it still eludes me. I believe it's an assam crossed with a plant native to Taiwan - it certainly does something to me I can't identify that makes this tea different from others

Lovely, yes! See below for lovely!!!

Also, perhaps I am a bit anal, but it helps when the country's tea is brewed in the same country's teaware. Sooo, I drink a lot of Japanese tea, need I say more ... how about this new beauty from Japan. Hagi by Noutomi Susumu, I am a fan. :D Just finishing up some Kinari shincha from Maiko with DW.

Kinari... that sounds familiar. Oh, is that the Kinari from Maiko? Yeah that was one of the best I've had in 09.

I really love my kyusu collection (all three of them!), but certain teas just taste better in different types of pots. I would never dream of brewing a good quality Oolong in a kyusu when I know it would do better in a Yixing or a gaiwan. My kyusu have fully replaced English style tea pots though. The side handle is just so much more efficient and easier to pour with than the back loop handle.

Currently, I am enjoying a glass of iced Darjeeling. I have some soggy leaf YM waiting as soon as the glass is empty.

Hahaha yes I doubt it would surprise anyone with my daily caffeine intake ;) Might just get the same one again from o-cha. Until then I will have shincha withdrawals.
