The lady in the first part is Zhuping, one of the partners involved in Seven Cups and the resident tea master at their tea house in Tucson. She is a wonderful woman, and is incredibly knowledgeable (not to mention cute as a button) in person.

Great link. Thanks for sharing it. That Seven Cups does do an enormous amount of informative stuff!

Maybe six months to a year ago, I seem to remember someone posted another video of a teapot being made on a wheel, but I haven't been able to find it. Does anyone remember where it is?

I found it here, but never have experience buying anything from them.

Yep. That's the one I was looking for! Having seen the Seven Cups video with English, it sure is easier to understand what is happening in the Chinese narrated one.

I wonder why he uses a "foot-powered" wheel for the initial throwing of the pot body and what appears to be an electric wheel for the refinement of the semi-dry body.

Making these things on a wheel looks even more difficult than making them by hand.

GrandTea has one 160-ml $21 model that they say is thrown in Chao Zhou.
