I have two favorites at the moment. I fell in love with my sister Hagi ware to the cup that Victoria posted earlier in the thread. It is really is perfect for sencha and I adore all the little crackles in the glaze. The other favorite is the cup in my avatar, from Bill at Split Fire Pottery. The Hagi is dedicated to Japanese greens, my little green cup that has moved to second place status is for oolongs, and the red cup is for everything else.
I am enjoying a lovely glass of iced Darjeeling mixed with Orange Blossom Oolong at the moment.

I'm drinking it out of a cup that is new, though not a favorite, just a nice cup, seen here eating my teapot whole, Dong Ding and all.

My favorite new cup is the one I just received from Elm Studios on etsy. http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.ph ... d=17495756

I am a bit burned out by this new forum, too many unresolved issues that keep landing in my lap as the most visible forum contact. I feel badly for the members who have temporarily gotten cut off. OHHH, and the photos that should not be getting "cut off" as well.
(see below)
I protest this TeaDay topic!!!! Too cruel and difficult to choose, but I guess I have to agree with others who said their fave changes often. I definitely have a new fave this year, month, week ... errr ... day.
Today ... my fave is this "wan" of interesting size and shape. This Hagi by a fave teaware artisan Noutomi Susumu. She is beautiful!

Hey, you can't protest the topic! If it's any consolation, your cups did not get cut off in my Google preview of your post.Chip wrote: I protest this TeaDay topic!!!!

Salsero, I love the horse grazing on tea leaves
. Depravitea, I have that same gaiwan and cup (I actually have two of each) and agree that they are awesome. I also have a teapot and bowl in that same pattern.
My new favorite is a toss up between the my cup from Hagi offer #2 and a cup I bought off of Etsy.

I have two of each as well. I always feel the need to have a back-up lolhorsencl wrote: Depravitea, I have that same gaiwan and cup (I actually have two of each) and agree that they are awesome. I also have a teapot and bowl in that same pattern.
I love the blue and white pattern, especially when it fades a bit, and the translucent rice pieces - awesome.
Where did you find the teapot!?
(If you don't mind me asking, of course?)

The pot came from a vintage store in the Gramercy Park section of Manhattan, about 21st and 3rd Avenue. Of course they haven't had any since, and I would know because I stalked the store weekly while I was still working in the area
