I've had a few bad tea days. Mostly related to Mate and not the venerable Camelia Sinensis.
In my cup this busy day at work: Cranberry Autumn

Since I am relatively 'new' to the TeaScene, I can only remember
1 bad tea day and that was a day when I had to be at work super early and totally missed the first TeaSession at home.
Fortunately that has not happened since and I am enjoying all my shared TeaDays immensely.
Currently in my cup Kukicha with Matcha ala Maeda-en.
Have a TEArrific TeaDay everyone.

I have bad days from time to time, but almost never bad tea days. If I don't like the tea I have, I just switch to another cup.
It may be called a bad tea day when I once sat down in a Beijing teahouse and realized there was no tea cheaper than $30 per serving on the menu. I would rather splurge than being embarrassed

Hrm, no reference to fish, but this picture reminds me of a slug -- a cup of tea moving slowly across the table, leaving a trail of a arboreal pattern in its wakes, with nice orange accents.
Seems this photo has evoked some images in the minds of TCers. My initial reaction to it instantly, a Wizard of Oz parallel with the cup of sencha skipping along leaving things
greeeeener and full of flowers in its wake. I have not been able to get "Follow the
GREENER Brick Road" song out of my head allll day.

Great imagery, Sal!
Bad TeaDays are pretty much a thing of the past since I started "following the greener road" of Japanese teas.
Speaking of, began the TD with
YM from O-Cha, cannot get
greener than that!!! SweeTea slurped it up while Pyrit and Wulong paid close attention to Fuji instead of the tea.

Yikes, not sure what I would do except hope that I am misunderstanding the exchange rate.
I think my miserly character would overrule my "TeaGo" in this case.
Brewing up some remnants of Asatsuyu with some Yamata shinchas, both from Rishi.

Heh, there was a later Oz story (by Thompson) with a girl (Flora?) made of flowers, and wherever she walked, flowers sprang from her footsteps. I think it might have been
Grandpa in Oz... been awhile.
Either way, I agree -- great imagery!

Really, the only bad tea day is a day without tea!
Today started with Nilgiri, mmmm.
This afternoon I had a great bowl of matcha.
This evening iced Nilgiri.
Yep, a good tea day, for sure.
And the day is always good, if I get to check in with teachat...Sal's pics and the ensuing comments are always fun!
Have fun,
Dreamer

Like yesterday, I voted 'not really'; I did however have one rather mediocre tea experience last weekend when visiting a cafe me and my little circle of friends have been frequenting for years. It's very old, both the establishment and the house it's in-I think 17th century. I really love the place but I realize I haven't been since my interest in tea exploded some months back, and their tea is...simply awful. I shared a pot of tea with one other guy and we were given around 1 L of water into which someone had dumped a single, small tea ball. How that tiny amount of tea was supposed to be able to turn all that water into tea is anybody's guess. =_=
A pity since their apple tart, blueberry pies, rhubarb pies are so yummy..
Today has been...ok. No tea is really able to revive me after having worked the whole night so I cannot say it's been bad today, at least.

A tasting of Kunpu shincha from Den's earlier, and then Keemun Concerto from Adagio with DW.
Dare I say it, a great TeaDay indeed.

A bad tea day is a day when I only have one tea and I can't get it to taste nice. This happens most often when I am busy and finishing a tea off, there is either too little or too much leaf and I've not got the time to learn how to make it work.
A no tea day is fine, I have one or two days off a week.
