Has anyone tried any of the 5 new Pu-erh cakes that Scott is offering under his own label? The wrappers certainly are very attractive but I have not tried the tea.
cheers,
Steve

Re: New designer Pu from Scott at Yunnan Sourcing
Not yet... I have put them on my list for consideration for my next order, but we shall see. I am only doing one more big order this year, and I want to do some more research before I finalize it.
Not to go off track, but I just got an email from Seven Cups saying that they've made 1 sheng and 1 shu this year as well and expect them in soon... all the vendors are getting into the craziness!

I received a small sample of Yunnan Sourcing "Jing Gu Bo Lin" Raw Pu-erh.
It was with an order of tea that had a lot of samples thrown in, about two months back.
If I remember correctly it tasted good. But I thought it had a little too many twigs.
You can't go by taste ether because I have the bad habit of throwing large chunks of Pu in the pot. For people that weight tea, Go heavy

A week ago or so Scott suggested a couple to me when I asked him to recommend some sheng cakes for ageing. I've not ordered any yet, but something Hobbes wrote recently certainly has gotten me rather curious about these vendor cakes.
