Howdy Fellas!

How is Harney & Sons quality? I have never dealt with them. Are they pretty good? And not just green tea but all their teas.

Thank ya kindly,

I personally think they are expensive, but they have some good teas. I have not ordered from them in almost 3-4 years mostly because of the price. Plus I drink a lot of Japanese greens which are better aquired elsewhere. IMHO.

What types of greens are you looking for? Chinese, Japanese, other?

I am new to green tea---something mild. What would you recommend? And where to buy your recommendations?

For green tea I would recomend you www.teaspring.com , mainly because they are specialized in chinese greens, and the offer the option of buying 25 grams from most of their teas, so you can sample out the ones you like, I suggest buying samples from the teas you found attractive from the description, and later on if you like some of those you can buy 100 gram packs, generally chinese greens last a long time, you need smaller amount and you can brew them easely in a glass or gaiwan.

+1 on TeaSpring, unless you do not want to buy direct from China(although it is not hard or risky really), then perhaps try a sampler from Adagio which would allow you to try several different types ... a stepping stone to trying more teas.
