Many favorites. Lots of Yunnans and many oolongs, TKY for example and others from the Anxi region are faves. Just starting to explore the green teas, several good ones there too.
In fact, I had a Chinese tea this morning: Adagio's newest addition -
Black Dragon Pearls tea. It was quite delicious!

Re: Thursday TeaDay 9/03/09 Fave Chinese tea?
I have Chinese favourites in every type of tea but the greens, I don't know exactly why that is but they just don't excite me that much.
I'm down to the last bit of my Yunnan Gold now, it'll be gone tomorrow.
At work I've been trying to reduce my stash of Brunkullablandning(some local blend of Chinese teas as it happens-with some citrus added) and am drinking shu at the moment, also my last mini tuo.
All Chinese today!

Yep on that for me too (for now anyway).Riene wrote:Yunnan. As in Yunnan Blacks. Y-U-N-N-A-N
Mostly I don't drink Chinese (due mostly Indian and Japanese keeping me otherwise occupied), but both Yunnan's that I've tried have been awesome teas with a flavor that is just so interestingly different to me.
The Ceylon Vithanakande was so good yesterday, that this morning I had to have it again...this evening I'm enjoying it iced (well not really iced just out of the refrigerator). Earlier when I checked in on the chat all the artisan's pics of their new chawan creations inspired me to enjoy a nice foamy bowl of matcha.

Yes, MANY favourites! Lao Cong Shui Xian, MeiZhan, Rou Gui, Honey Orchid Dan Cong and then some. There is A LOT of Chinese tea out there, and I am thrilled to be making its acquaintance.

Love the teas from China:
- Tie Guan Yin oolong from Anxi
- Any black tea from Yunnan
- Long Jing green tea
Scarfing back some Yunnan Noir form Adagio right now!

Wuyi! Wish I had some wuyi now actually, as I seem to be all out. I have a nice Chinese green that I keep at work, as it brews quite well without a timer or any type of measuring tools. It's awesome for when I get distracted since it takes well to being oversteeped.
