I wondered at the 'muscles' comment, too - slave labor? Then I decided, nawww, he might be referring to 'mussels' instead.

Nilgiri Chamraj sucks as a Glendale Estate replacement.

Nothing special for this weekend. Various 'to-do' projects on the agenda for today/tomorrow. Grilling tonight and probably tomorrow as well.

No-name estate Ceylon for starters. TKY in my cup presently. Mmmmmm.

I am having a great Labor Day Weekend. My parents and the dogs went up to visit grandma for the weekend so it is just me and the cat for a few days. The cat has already been bathed and brushed and the house is relatively clean, so the plans for the rest of today and my day off tomorrow involve enjoying the peace and quiet while it lasts.

I enjoyed some iced darjeeling with my pancakes this morning and am just about ready to move on to brewing up something hot.

My wife and I are off to Martha's Vineyard for a couple of days. We just got back from Rochester late last night so we've been pretty busy of late.

Started today with Uji Miyabe then Tie Luo Han at lunch and Kaboku in mid-afternoon.

I'd love to know how you do this because, if I tried to bathe my cat, I would end up on intensive care at my local hospital.

Long Jing in my cup all day. I suspect tonight it will be Yunnan Golden Tips.

My cat is rather special. She is just a very mellow, laid back cat who loves attention, but would rather hide and sleep given the chance. She doesn't mind baths and generally purrs through the entire thing. All I have to do is pick her up, plunk her in the tub, wash her up, rinse her off, wrap her in some towels and then I have a clean cat. We've also been giving her baths regularly since she was a kitten, which probably helps some, and I make sure to trim her nails before bath time.

Well, I wouldn't say that it sucks, but it doesn't have that same fruity smoothness that I love in the Glendale.

Right now I'm enjoying some Hunan Black from TeaSource. I've never had it before and ordered it on a whim. When I was pouring the first steep, it smelled kind of bitter, but I was surprised to find that there was no bitterness at all. It's really a good tea! A little bit of astringency, but not in a bad way, very full-bodied and tasty! I wish that I had 4 oz. of this instead of the Chamraj. :)

Hey, Chip, have you been working out?

Oooops, that is what I get for rushing and trying to post, I am not a multi tasker. Yes, Mussels (which do have MUSCLES). BTW, they were awesome!!!

Very good Travel TeaDay with DW despite early panic of the thought of having to use the worst tasting water on the planet, but was saved by the local Turkey Hill Spring water.

So, had a good session of Fuga Limited Edition despite no scale today. Then my first ever travel Matcha ... more panic when I realized I forgot the matcha screen. I managed to avoid lumps by first adding a bit of cold water and whisking.

"Yes, Mussels"

+1 (if we're keeping score)

On traveling matchaware: Here is where the crowd preference for heavy-walled winter chawan comes in handy-dandy. You can travel with little fear of their damage. If anything, they will demolish a nearby fragile object. (sorta j/k)

Indian white tea in my cup again.

I'm heading up to my mother's house tomorrow to hang out and eat tasty food. And, like any good student, to do my laundry.

Currently there's only water in my cup, since I'm being too lazy to make tea. I had my first taste of Da Hong Pao on Friday courtesy of the Oolong Box Pass, though, and I kind of love it. It goes on the list of future purchases.

Nothing different about this weekend where I work...

Glass brewed some Adagio Green Pekoe all day long in my trusty tea thermos.
