I am a newbie to the site - thank you for having me. I am looking forward to gleaning lots of tea knowledge.
What has prompted me to register at this time is the Northwest Tea Festival. I am not part of it but would like to attend.
Does anyone have any feedback about this event? Is anyone attending that would like to carpool from central CA? Thank you!

Kewl, hadn't heard of this. I am too far away... but hope you get to go. Welcome to TeaChat!

Thanks for mentioning this - I hadn't heard of it before!
The Festival website is a bit patchy at the moment, but I did find a write-up of the 2008 event here and here.
Unfortunately I'll be out of the country during this year's Festival, but I do hope someone attends and reports back. I'd certainly be very interested in attending the 2010 event.

Welcome!
A tea festival sounds great, wish someone would fix something like that over here

Great idea! I nominate you to get the annual Scandinavian Tea Festival going. Late September works for mesriracha wrote: A tea festival sounds great, wish someone would fix something like that over here

That...actually sounds doable for me depending on if I have the money. I live in British-Columbia so a trip to Seattle isn't as a big a deal as say, going to California where most of these things seem to be held.
