I never would've thought of using my frisbee as a tea tray (that is what it is right?) but I think using a frisbee would do double-duty if I'm ever doing gong fu cha in a park

That's a long exposure of a glow-in-the-dark frisbee nonetheless.. 8)

I was down in my shop working and grabbed it since it was handy and water on the wood workbench (not sealed) isn't good... works pretty well!

Haven't you looked at tableware and serveware (bowls, trays) and thought it might be useful for making tea?

Unused creamer and sugar bowls become water pitchers and short term tea leaf storage or waste containers. Larger, flatter bowls become teaboats; deeper, smaller ones are impromptu matcha teabowls.

Must admit, I wouldn't have thought of a frisbee, but it works in a pinch.

Nice, Bubba, very creative!

Have you ever seen Vaseline Glass? It glows in the dark, too.

Yes, especially when you're on a tight budget...there's always the need to improvise. I'm using a Japanese ramen bowl as my waste bowl until I get around to getting one for tea.

Absolutely. A couple of my favourite tea "cups" are actually open sugar bowls, i.e. the type with no lids (and, of course, no handles!):

Get OUT OF TOWN!!! That's the best! I NEED a gaiwan made from that amazing stuff! Wow, a whole line of glow in the dark teaware...

This is starting to remind me of that old comedy that 'glows in the dark...' from waaay back with John Ritter, IIRC.. Ah... thanks to google... Skin Deep was the flick..

Nothing wrong with using what you have, heck, my tea tray is a cutting board. The glow in the dark is awesome lol
I see dipping bowls and stuff at department stores and they look just like the matcha bowls everyone on here uses lol.

It was even recommended to me once that I use a cereal bowl until getting a matcha bowl. Improvising is actually kind of fun. It's interesting to see what a person can make work.

Nice photo.
And nice quote. :)
