I have been thinking about 9/11 a lot today. Especially because I was at work when it happened and my then boss was being a jerk about letting us watch what was going on on TV. I will never forget that. I hungered for news, and we sneaked peeks when we could. When I finally got home, I watched non-stop till about 3:00 am the next morning. I wish now, I would have stood up to him and said, fine, then I'm going home sick.

Well all promised to never forget. I think it is important that we honor that promise a take a few minutes to remember, in some fashion, today.

In my cup this morning - Glendale Vintage Wiry.
I'm nearing the end of this fabulous tea.

40% of American tea is from Argentina? You know the state of tea drinking has really gone downhill when CTC Assam is the expensive blender you need to cut with something cheaper.

Chip wrote: My outlook on how safe are we really has changed since 911. Given Bin Laden's desire to make each attack bigger than the last concerns me greatly. Like everyone else, I try to just not think too much about it I guess, while trying not to be apathetic in the process, a tough balancing act.
I'll tell you the people in and around Los Angeles think about it A LOT. It seems obvious we will be the next target, and that is quite unsettling. I would venture to say, that people are more concerned about that, than they are the "Big One" (earthquake).

In my cup this afternoon - Jing Tea Shop - Xiang Hua TGY

Ohhh, Freday. So let's talk.

Yeah, it is 9/11. How time flies...eight years? It seemed like for weeks after 9/11 all passing of time was measured in the days since that day. For some types of business, like the airline business, financial results were looked at in terms of the quarters since 9/11. We seem to be past that. As far as my life, I tend to check the news a lot, either foxnews.com or the radio. I was oblivious that day till I got to work. And when I'm in a big crowd or see a big crowd (like at the Cardinals baseball game), I wonder about the crowd being a target. I never verbalize the thought, even to my family, but it is there.

Hmmmm, ok, I'll talk about oolongs. I'm liking the three that I got from Floating Leaves. I'll write a bit more about this over in the thread that started when their sale started.

Then, let's see, we could talk about the fabulous Hagi offer #4. Beautiful! I know that those of us who got in on it can't wait to get them in our hands! Our tea-mod-dude, Chip, did a tea-rriffic job!!!

Ahhhh, even writing about tea and tea ware calms my soul...now off to have some more tea.

Peace,
Dreamer

fresh morning, autumn in Beijing is strangely organic, so blue and transparent (like once a year), photographers might be busy now to photograph Forbidden City, Great Wall etc..

drinking 02 Yiwu to greet morning, listening to John Denver reminds me that how I shall treat Yixing teapot and tea as a life-time friend..

and I hope this joyful hobbies could expand world-wide (pm for help anytime :) )
