Instead of food, I have found the tea goes best with Hagi!

not likely. I normaly fix oatmeal with blueberries in it along with my tea but I will usually drink the tea first and then eat cold oatmeal so I don't take anything away from the tea...totally worth it.
The exception is white tea, I like to drink white tea with the oatmeal because for whatever reason its good to me that way.

No I didn't drink tea with fod today, which is unusual for me. My afternoon tea has lately been Assam and it is bold enough to eat something with it.

On weekend mornings, and sometimes in the evening, I'll have a piece of raisin toast or some such with my cuppa, but for the rest the tea's the thing.

As for today--NO TEA AT ALL. One of those days. Don't ask

I usually make tea at the same time as breakfast, but don't drink it until after I'm done eating.

Keemun Rhapsody this morning, then no tea until iced tea WITH dinner.
