I arrived here at teachat while researching tea and trying to find a place to purchase samplers. My primary goal was to learn, and so I spent a long time just reading posts and trying out things for myself. When I say a long time, I would guess two years.
I finally decided to join in the discussion to not only learn even more, but to discuss tea as well. I have a long way to go before I could teach anyone on here anything about tea, but I believe that by discussing, sharing thoughts, and even asking questions there is a sort of learning process for all involved. Therefore I am currently here for all of the above, even though my original goal was just to get answers to my questions.
Re: Saturday TeaDay 9/26/09 To learn, to teach, to discuss?
I slept in till 11:00 today, it felt good, I needed it. Started my TeaDay with Koucha from Yuuki-Cha. Ready for an oolong next.
Still waiting for my Hagi delivery. It is taking longer to get from the post office to my house, than it took to get here from Japan. I really hope it comes today. Not sure the asylum has a cure for hagittis.
I hope they serve tea.

I understand hagittis is very hard to treat - the only thing that works is hagi.
I joined to learn, and got caught up. There's more to learn about tea than I ever thought. Still just scratching the surface.

Fuji the feline has developed a compulsion to sit on the keyboard which is having some dire consequences.
Presently he is perched on my shoulders and watching my every key stroke.

Fun topic, Chip!olivierco wrote: Moreover Teachat is quite the only place where buying a 12th chawan just because you needed this chawan doesn't look weird.

Truvth!
Came to learn, share experiences, commune with other tea lovers.
Another go-round with Cream of Assam this afternoon. Easy does it with this tea, because the small leaf is surprisingly durable (3 infusions). Highly recommended.

To learn, and to hang out with people who actually drink tea. I am surrounded by soda and coffee drinkers.
Yunnan Noir this morning, iced mystery black tea at lunch.

Re: Saturday TeaDay 9/26/09 To learn, to teach, to discuss?
I came here to learn and discuss tea. I also found out how much I don't know and still have to learn.
On the positive side, I got to visit a tea store today and picked up some organic teas I can't wait to try. I had to keep my self from buying to much.
My DH picked up a new teapot as a x-mas gift to myself.
I only had some iced tea this morning. I didn't have time to make it this morning as we were heading out early.
