Yep, I've got a quite a few pieces of Japanese teaware. Three hagi - one is a sturdy solid rainbow chawan, one little cuke cup and my loquat glaze cup (last two were hagi offers from here on teachat). I've got another hagi rainbow cup on the way (I got the last one from offer #6!!). Four kyusu (one lives in sunny Florida) and two other chawan. I think that's it.
Today Black Spiral again this morning. Tea-less afternoon. Now Tulsi tea.
Tomorrow there must be some green!
Still rainy and cooler than it ought to be here...good tea weather!
Be well,

Re: Wednesday TeaDay 10/14/09 Where Japan teaware?
Thanks, Chamekke! Good points.chamekke wrote:I tend to assume that a "canister" includes an internal lid or airproof seal to ensure that the contents stay fresh. A "tin" may not necessarily have anything more than a simple lid.Chip wrote: and to stretch the teaware moniker, lots of Washi canisters (funny, they call them canisters, not tins).
TD continued with Sencha Premier from Adagio with DW. And finally Hatsumi from O-Cha. A great TD ...

Nah, just keeping it simple.
Only buying things I'll actually use.
I might find use for a kyusu though, one day.

That's a great approach. I could use some of your discipline!
