My updated collection
This is a picture of my collection up to date. This is only the sheng, however. Anyway, as you can see I have made a few of my own tongs for smaller quantities of cakes so they are better organized and more protected. Any questions of what things are feel free to ask.

That's a beautiful site, Shogun.
Re: My updated collection
I had that same money eating robot! Unfortunately, mine died.
Re: My updated collection
Thanks everyone, I'm just happy its finally starting to grow! Apache, The "08 Qing" is pretty much your standard Menghai offering, thick flavor, mushroom tobacco flavor with a good astringency. Over all a very nice tea for the money. However, I bought 5 8582 (802) with the order and I must say, I like them more, and they are a bit cheaper as well. Thats just me though.

Looking awesome! Very nice indeed...!
Re: My updated collection
What teas are in tong quantity?
Re: My updated collection
I agree with you 8582 is better than "08 Qing" which IMHO is better than "Da Yi Jia Ji Tuo 2008". However, I think V93 2006 trumps all of them. It will be interesting to see how they will age.shogun89 wrote:Thanks everyone, I'm just happy its finally starting to grow! I have a tong of 2008 CNNP Spring Bulang and the American Hao (901).
The others that I made myself are 3 7542 (901) and 4 8582 (802). Plan on keeping all these for at least 10 years before opening them up.

Re: My updated collection
Is that an entire "tea closet?" What are your parameters (temp and humidity)? I assume you get great airflow with the wire-frame shelves? I need to look into something like this for my ever-growing collection.
Re: My updated collection
While I do have some other crap in the closet, it is primarily a tea closet, yes. Unfortunately I do not have any heater or humidifier, (yet). Currently holding at 65% and about 67 degrees, but that will decrease as winter encroaches. The shelves do indeed provide nice circulation for the cakes. If i could just find a way to boost my humidity and temp in the winter, it would be perfect...
