Re: October tasting
yep, like raw walnut tannins. Really strong in first and second infusions (and rinse,) but tapered off quickly. Perhaps what you are calling chestnut, is more like walnut to me? I've never eaten chestnut.

Finally, Pony Express showed up today. I get packages faster from Mars, well, Japan anyway.
Thanks Marshaln.

Re: October tasting
B is really quite up-front, very sweet and fruity. It first struck me as strongly fruity like peach and blackberry, but then the smell, taste, and texture all reminded me very much of a soft, fine (Italian?) leather. After a few steeps it settled down and brought out a little more complexity. It doesn't have the depth of the first, but it is still very nice; very round, sweet, and smooth all the way through.
Re: October tasting
I received the parcel and will drink them this week-end I guess.
Merci beaucoup!
