Hou De's Jasmine Green Tea.

According to website it's scented with real jasmine flowers on a base of high-grade lightly oxidized oolong tea .

An authentic scented "Dragon Pearl" type is certainly by far my fave. Smooth, relaxing, none of the roughness of some of the other forms.

Jasmine scented Yin Hao is pretty good too, and was the choice of 007 in one of the Bond movies, he even asked for it by name. 8)

By far, my favorite is the middle grade from Serenity Art, but I also like Adagio's and Tao of Tea. ToT also has a nice Jasmine Spiral. It looks really pretty, and smells wonderful. A bit more bite than Jasmine Pearl, but still excellent.

I just ordered a sample of what was listed as Moli Yin Hao.
Haven't tried it yet,but it smells very fresh and a lot of jasmine scent,
supposed to be from Spring 2009 production also.

I have also tried jasmine dragon pearl and that was good.
The one I tried was not really a brand name one, but from a seller in China that says it is scented 3 times with Yunnan jasmine.
I honestly do not know how I'm supposed to tell the difference with a tea scented 3 and 7 times though.....as I was reading that tea scented with jasmine 7 times is supposed to be better.

The one I have smells very jasminey and fresh, so guess that's all that really matters...

yeah there's a lot of these little pearls floating around, being sold by a lot of vendors, many are supposedly organic
Anyone try the organic ones?
It's kinda hard to spot the differences in supply by looking at the leaf pictures since many look almost exactly the same. Makes me wonder how many vendors are getting from the exact same source.
Does anyone have any experience with ordering these on ebay sites like dth and ysllc?

I go back and forth between the Jasmine Pearls and Jasmine white teas. Right now I'm drinking Jasmine Silver Dragon from Harney's. I think it's similar but not exactly like Jasmine Silver Needles. Harney's refers to the tea as silver tip buds (bai hao).

Last year what I did that was fun was ordered small quantities of all the different Jasmine teas carried by Imperial Tea Court and held my own personal tea-tastings. I would do that again before ordering in any quantity, as I tend to prefer the more expensive varieties and the "tea-tasting" helped me choose among them. You could do the same thing with Teaspring or one of the other vendors that carries a wide variety of chinese greens.

I have bought some tea from a small ebay tea vendor,
not the ones you listed though and had no issues.
Well my minor complaint is that he is slow to return emails, like 2 or 3 days usually...not a huge issue but a little annoying.
Also that shipping can take 3-5 weeks unless you want extremely expensive shipping-that is not the sellers fault though, just the post system.

A few people on this forum have said that jasmine or green teas are supposed to be best from Fujian?
Not sure how much difference that really makes.

I was also reading how jasmine pearls tea is supposed to be better if it is scented 7 times?
The place I bought from they say their tea is scented 3 times with fresh jamine flowers.
Tome it seems to taste fine and I can't really see much difference between what my local tea shop here sells and that.

It might not be the same for all sellers though,

or maybe you can always try asking if the seller will send samples if you pay a small price?
The seller I bought from he also has a website other than ebay and on there he has that you can order samples, but it is not free and you also pay shipping.
I just bought 5 samples and the size for those is 100 grams
and the size on his ebay shop is 250 grams for the loose teas.

So now I have a LOT of tea :)
