I have been lusting after this beauty for a while, but haven't broken down to actually purchase it yet. It has the little metal screen just over the spout that would be perfect for fukamushi sencha and at 7.4 ounces, it is really nice size that is right between the two other kyusu that I have. I can justify why I need it, but can't justify spending money on it.

The rest of the list includes another one of the cheap kyusu from Den's because I use mine so much that it would be nice to have a second one and another artisan yunomi due to an irrational need for more after falling in love with the one that I have.

Sounds rational to me.

Beautiful looking. I like the contrast of the metals a lot.

Just look at these Tea Bowls!!

I've seen his Etsy store and saved him as a favorite. He seems to produce consistent, high quality, and, affordable teaware. But, damned that Cory Lum makes almost everyone pale by comparison.

I know this thread is a little old, but this little set from Ippodo caught my eye:

Image
This set, which consists of one teapot and five cups, is the same Kiyomizu-yaki tea ware that Ippodo uses to serve tea in the "Kaboku" tearoom in our main shop in Kyoto. The teapot holds about 120 ml of hot water, which makes about two to three cups using the cups in this set (or total of about 100 ml of tea).... The pieces in the set have a natural shade of white porcelain that accurately shows off the beautiful light shades of Japanese tea. While being very simple, the design provides the warmth of a handcrafted work and maximum functionality.
It's not cheap but right now I like the idea of a small pot like this that I could use instead of a gaiwan, and which could also do sencha and gyokuru.

I've used that set at the Kaboku tearoom. The cups are nice, but the pot isn't so great in person, at least for the price. That said, the teas that go it at Kaboku are great.

Good to know. The lust factor just diminished rapidly.

I'll replace that item in my wish list with one of the Lin's Ceramic Studio 100ml or 120ml teapots instead then.

Heavydoom, those Da Yi cups are amazing. I just got them. My favorite cups. I love how low and wide they are.

I'm lusting after virtually everything made by Cory. His stuff is amazing! I'm a proud owner of one of his Chawan.
