adagio:
(of tempo) leisurely
The name is rather ironic.
I ordered a LOT of tea from Adagio over the last month and On December 5th I ordered a few more things to complete the Christmas packages I was sending to family in Europe. I live in California so my package usually arrives in one day from the "amazing california warehouse"... I was not worried because I still had about 20 days left!
On December 6th I got the package but part of the order was wrong. So I asked if the correct items could be sent right away, upon which I was told very politely that YES! THEY WOULD BE sent right away.
When I inquired the next day I was told they were sent via the slowest mail possible (USPS) and ...from NEW JERSEY!
hmmm..ok... so they would be here the following week???
The following week, on December 13th, I contacted Adagio on and explained the situation: that I had hardly any time left to send these things to Europe, upon which I was told that the correct items would be sent RIGHT AWAY VIA FED EX!
The following day...nothing arrived.
I contacted ADAGIO and was told that the package was once again sent via USPS, but this time from the CALIFORNIA WAREHOUSE...woo..so I'd have it right away because I live in CALIFORNIA!
Nope...
On December 19th I contacted Adagio again...saying it's been 6 days for something coming within california, which was unusual even during xmas (because i had ordered gifts from Illinois that came after 4 via USPS)
I was told to please wait...
its the 21st...
I just think it's not very nice of a company to be taking my $ promising me quick delivery, and then completely slacking and taking a cheap way out to correct a mistake they've made.
Its 16 days later... I still don't have the correct items and I will be sending out my Xmas gift for my family in January 2007.
cheers
B
I'm so sorry to hear you're having trouble. It's not been my experience with this company at all. I hope the problems will be rectified soon!
Drink your tea slowly and reverently, as if it is the axis on which the world earth revolves - slowly, evenly, without rushing toward the future.

Welcome to holiday shipping, companies (FedEx, UPS, etc.) don't guarantee shipment dates around the holidays and often times lose packages in the shipping/mailing process. So, I wouldn't lay all the blame on Adagio. at least they responded to your concerns and attempted to get the products to you, quite a few internet companies are near impossible to get a hold of and then when you finally do good luck waiting for a non-auto response. Try the live chat on the home page again, and be patient, if your nice to them they will be nice back to you. The "please wait" you saw was was more than likely telling you to wait for a customer service representative to show up, not a response to your question.
