Sencha green, Zencha Fukamushi Fuji SP. Virtually every day begins with Sencha. I do this strictly for medicinal purposes!
Next up, another Fukamushi tasting, Hatsumi from O-Cha. And Darjeeling FF with DW.
A big ole box arrived today, wonder what's inside?

This morning's tea is going to be a Chinese green, but I won't be having it until I get into work (and after the gym). Hm, something to look forward to!
Ah, more hagi. They look nice, but wow do they sure sell out fast. Half of them are gone already... crazy.
Well, I thought I had posted this message this morning, but apparently I closed my laptop w/o hitting 'submit' ... by this point, probably all of the hagi are gone!

The availability is up to date, lots of beauties are still available.
Big ole box is OPEN, and Hagi are jumpin' out like crazy.

First tea of the day is almost always a black.
This morning it was Ceylon Nuwara Eliya (306 from SpecialTeas). I didn't enjoy this tea much when I first got it...I didn't not like it, I just didn't find anything to enjoy about it. BUT now I am liking it...I find elements in it that remind me of the Nilgiri from TeaSource that I really like. And it is a beautiful color in the cup!
Later at work this morning, some calming Tulsi tea.
This afternoon Den's Fukamushi Sencha Special...this tea has been open quite a while, but it is still wonderful.
Have a great week,
Dreamer

+1
Always start my day with a black, then move on to robust oolongs at mid morning.
This afternoon, I decided to retry the Oriental Beauty I had purchased last summer from Floating Leaves. When I first tried it in June, I was underwhelmed, but also had problems with water quality that I presumed had sucked the flavor and aroma out of my tea. Yep. This time, with bottled water, the tea was lovely, reminding me how close it is to tasting like a delicate black at ~70% oxidation.

After the Wako matcha, had some Poenix High Mountain Single Grove Honey Fragrance Oolong. Mmm.

Maybe a white next, now that evening has come.

I typically do not have tea in the morning, though when I do its usually a great day. But due to travling today, I had *GASP* No Tea today. But will remedy that tomorrow when The sip tip goes Japanese.

Yayyyyy Darjeeling got its own voting option on the poll!
I had a Lochan sample from their last tasting event... the Castleton. Mmmm. Smells like dark chocolate when you open the package, and made a delicious cup with some muscatel, dried fruit, and dark chocolate notes. Was a great way to start this chilly day.

7.5 kilos of Hagi arrived today.

I am hanging a sign out front, "Hagi House."
Finishing the TD with Kukicha from Den's blended with Mugi/genmai home roast. Despite all the Hagi, enjoying this in a ChicagoPotter yunomi.
