Re: Wednesday TeaDay 11/25/09 Thank you?
Oh yes. My fiance and I are going first to my parents' house to celebrate with them, my aunt and uncle, and my grandmother. Then we get to go to his aunt's house to celebrate with his side of the family. I guess it is what we get having a good amount of family in the area. On the bright side, my awesome coconut pies have already been made so they can cool by tomorrow and then tomorrow, I get to attempt a from-scratch green bean casserole recipe that I have never tried before. Should be fun!
Currently in my cup is steep number four of the Taiwanese Wuyi that is on sale at Floating Leaves. It tastes delicious, but mild compared to other Wuyis that I have tried.

Very quiet, at home, hosting an in-law or three.
A green Chinese needle tea at the moment, brewed in a koryo cup that I've recently come back to. Nice.

Yes a big family gathering but not the traditional turkey etc. We are a vegetarian family and make different main courses every year. This year it is homemade stuffed shells. Yummy!
Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Oh yes, I will be celebrating Thanksgiving!
Tomorrow with DH's family...turkey and all the trimmings at his Aunt's house...I'm bringing pumpkin pie (they're cooling on the counter right this minute).
Friday after Thanksgiving used to be spent with my parents, but since they're no longer with us, we have developed our own tradition for Friday. We are very casual...sleeping very late, staying in our PJs, making our own feast (this year we will have chicken and dumplings and all the other Thanksgiving sides), and eating in the dining room with the good dishes. There is usually an extra kid or two around. And (my favorite part) we go around the table and share what we're grateful for. We usually go around the table about 4 times, till it just gets too silly. The kids even warn their visiting friends that this is tradition and they've got to do it too.
I love Thanksgiving...a day set aside just for gratitude!
Gratefully,

Very nice tradition, Dreamer.
TD continued with Genmaicha served by Yao at the sushi bar, then Matcha at home in a Cory Lum Chawan. Last tea of the day, DW and I broke in the new Seigan Blue Special Offer #8. These are amazing, I can see why everyone seems to love 'em and share photos. It is even AdamMY's new avatar. Oh, Zencha Fuji SP. And there is one left, unbelievably!!! I am tempted to buy a third one!
An early Happy Thanksgiving wish to all who are celebrating!!!
