Recommendation for Next Purchase

I'm looking to buy some sencha after I finish up what I have. I know there are lots of great teas in the higher price-points, but I'm aiming at $15/100g or lower. Just wanted to see if anyone has some recommendations based on my likes/dislikes below. Thanks!

What I've liked:
Den's Fuka-midori
Hibiki-an Secha Fukamushi Supreme

Didn't like as much:
Any of Den's other fukamushi (Tasted like the little tea dust that is left over after a normal fukamushi...strong, dry, and not pleasant)
Hibiki-an Sencha Supreme (Not bad, but a little too much graham flavor)
Yuuki-Cha-Organic Shizuoka Shincha Kawane no Kaori (Too weak, lots of graham flavor)

You might want to give the lower priced Zencha offerings a try..theres a Yame one and a Shizuoka one thats right at 13 bucks including shipping. I have enjoyed them alright

Thanks, I'll give zencha a try. I saw them before but was turned off by their website. Esspecially the little video on the front page, and the picture of the sumo wrestler, ha. Excited for more tea though.

umami-chaya Yutaka Midori $13 /100 g so that is under your price range.
Very goods for the price you wont be disappointed.

Hmm. I looked at www.umami-chaya.com, and it looked like the cheapest they had was $17/100g and the Yutaka Midori was $19. Maybe I missed a sale or am i looking at the wrong place?

Thanks guys! I ordered some of that, looked like a great price. Now I'll have a few different teas in this price range to compare.

Someone on another board recommended visiting one's local Asian Market and trying their offerings. True, it could be drek, but there is apparently some good stuff in some locations. Upside is that the cost is usually cheap: I got a 5.3 ounce bag of Sencha locally and it was pretty good. OK, this may not be top stuff, but let your taste be the judge. Very little money is usually at stake.

Thanks. The city I am in now only has small chinese groceries with crappy tea, so no luck there. And you're right not all grocery store tea is crap, but it depends on the store.
