Translation please? Thanks.
It says,
"What are 'weekends?'" Or I suppose "What are these 'weekends' of which you speak?"
Anyway, I definitely find myself drinking more cups of tea during the colder months. And with my current work schedule, weekends are the best time for me to really relax and enjoy a nice cup.
Right now, I'm enjoying a sample of Nada's 2009 Nannuo Qiao Mu. Very interesting stuff, very floral and fruity.
AdamMY -- great pictures of the hagi!

Thanks Victoria and again Adam for bringing color to TD!
And thanks for the translation, Drax!
Next up, an Organic Matcha tasting with DW, this one from Den's. Served up in a Sea Cuke Seigan Hagi. This is a mild Matcha, but has very good flavor. Anytime I try an organic matcha, I am a bit apprehensive at first. But this is nice and I will use more matcha next time.

Definitely more tea on the cold weekends after Christmas!
Right now I'm just now sitting down with my first tea of the day (Fukamushi sencha supreme from o-cha). Errands and candy making prevented any tea consumption till now...finally I decided it was "break time".
Hope everyone has a great week!

While taking a pic of my DaYuLin from Camellia Sinensis,
I spy TC in the reflection!
So with my "Geek" inspired
tripod and timer I set
out to capture the TC image. I was feeling pretty
proud of myself till I realized it is a mirrored reflection.

Oh yeah this is my Biwa Impersonator... I'll have to see if I can look up the specks on the Biwa special offer, sadly this one did not come from the special offer, but is an kid trying to fit in.
Actually, your 2 Deisha are not so much impersonators as they are offspring, born of the Biwa SO and the Shiro SO. I find this pretty flattering though at first it shocked me to see the next run available. I have btw since negotiated a period of 3 months prior to re release of SO works that have been custom created from the ground up for SOs.
Hatsumi from O-Cha in
THE Hagi that first inspired these 2 SOs, a much more simple and humble version of Straw Ash Glaze (Shiro/white).

Great posts, great pics!
Nice work Vic - now I am totally intimidated!!!
Very mellow tea day for me today - just worked out that way.
No matcha today

.
Instead, Oolong (Anxi #1 from Teance) with pancakes for breakfast.
That's it for today.
Nice to see wonderful Hagi being shown, incredible, humbling photography skills being shared, biwa-relative on parade.
Very nice.

Typically, I work weekends, so if there is any time of the week I am not really able to enjoy tea to the fullest, it's then.
I've definitely been drinking more lately though, and almost all blacks and shu pu.
