I have one: I think it is time, or almost time, to split the green tea sub-forum into two: Japanese and Chinese/Other. If the vendor threads are successful, which think they are, they it will get a bit messy if both types of greens inhabit the same sub-forum.

The alternative would be to create a single all inclusive subforum for all the vendors, all teas, etc.
The topic would be headed with a stickied topic for each type of tea that would include an index for each vendor along with the forum topic link for each vendor, and could be broken down into even Japanese and Chinese topics for instance.
Just thinking out loud.
Currently tasting some sencha-s.

Been very busy lately, haven't had much computer time. Hopefully things will be getting back to normal now.
Been drinking a lot of Lyons lately, it's quick, it's decent, and I can take it with me in a travel mug.
Been drinking exclusively blacks lately, and a few shu pus here and there...
Anyway, my idea...
A Teachat facebook page might be kind of neat. It would be cool to post what's happening in the forum there. Maybe even do some other polls there. It would be neat to see how many people might find Adagio and Teachat via facebook, and possibly introduce tea to those who are interested...
If there already is a page, I haven't found it through their search engine...

Some of these indexing suggestions sound great for old-hands at tea, but it might complicate things a bit for beginners. Would there be a way to keep it simplistic so that new people can still find everything accessible?
TeaChat seems to get a pretty constant influx of new people. I'm sort of curious what the average half-life of a new person is...
It might be nice to have a dedicated TeaGallery on the forum. The idea being that this site would host pictures, that way you can guarantee that they'll still be enjoyable after a month or two of their posting. Depending on how it was set up (a forum or an actual gallery), it might alter the dynamic of how some forums post/share pictures. . .
Finishing up my sampling of some CNNP. Going to move on to some brick-type pu'erhs. . .

I think it would be nice if all of the new vendor threads were under a vendor heading, then maybe split into green, oolong, black, etc.

Some vendors with rapid turnover on their teas, like Tea Habitat would greatly benefit from a dedicated forum. It would also provide a cultural memory of what past greats were like and give people more of an idea of how to judge and brew from the current selection.
All of this really needs to be in its own forum. It's easy to do some shops that are pretty focused on one type of tea, but when you go with JingTeaShop and TeaSpring, they have major league teas across the big three, and TeaSpring has a respectable herbal section as well. That would make for a mess. Then there would be other situation like Upton where a dedicated forum would be of a major help in distributing the knowlege of what is good quickly.
