I've got a honeymoon coming up - so this is a real consideration for me and my sweety. Hmmm - never been to France - and that's high on our list (she's been, but not I); also considering Hawaii (Maui - tho it'd be fun to visit Cory, if that's even possible, don't remember if he has a shop); also would really, really love to do a tea tour of China or Japan.
Horai-no-mukashi followed by a mixture of O-cha organic gyokuro mixed with Teavana gyokuro imperial so far today.

Everywhere? There's always something interesting about new places.

In my cup: Fujian Baroque. I'm pretty sleepy given that it's only early evening.

Everywhere and then back again later. I agree with leiche2...always interesting to visit a new place, but I do LOVE going back to places that I have enjoyed!

Today's teas: ToT's Mao Feng Noir this morning and O-cha's Kabusecha this afternoon/evening.

Hope everyone is looking forward to a great week,
Dreamer

Well today I learned its only a short matter of time for my Great uncle to pass away. It is sad as I always viewed him as one of the few people I know from the invincible generation. A bit of a misnomer especially since there are so few of them left.

He was in the Latvian Army During World War Two, and one day fled with my great aunt, and my grandmother and were refuges in Europe for many years, until eventually making way to the America. They have many stories to tell, and have lived through more than I probably will in my entire life.

This brings up the fact that other than my selfish tea desires to visit China, and Japan, That I would also like to visit the land of my mothers parents, Latvia.

I'm in the same boat, though my fiance and I have pretty much decided that we would like to do a Mediterranean cruise. Our original idea was Japan, but we realized that would not doable right now. Provided we can save up enough, hopefully that trip will be in 2011 sometime. This year will be a cousin's wedding in Raleigh, NC, a few days relaxing the Finger Lakes region of New York and maybe a long weekend up in the Adirondacks.

I dunno. I am fortunate in that I get to travel a lot. Somebody I know is going to London soon but I can't go with him :-( I'm thinking about travel and I know I have to go to China, I've just been putting off the trip despite many opportunities and invitations. Also I want to see Jerusalem, Bethlehem, pyramids, etc which would also actually be easy for me - just haven't made the effort yet. Maybe not the time? Don't know.

Today I am traveling in the land of Yunnan via my teacup. From Chaikhana, having sat in my cupboard for awhile, something called "Ancient Style" 2007 puerh, says "Raw Dayeh"... and frankly I think this is smooth and kickass (in a really good way) green puerh. Gave it a pretty good steeping and the tea is a really clear dark amber/cognac color. Quite lovely.

So many interesting places in the states, especially for tree huggers including the Redwood and Sequioa forests. Certainly cannot discount USA destinations.

Certainly would like to see China, Japan, Thailand ... well, very long Asian list. Used to love the show, The Lonely Planet, now renamed and on PBS.

Fa fa away ... where no man has gone before ... the question is, "If you could travel anywhere," so why not? :D
