I enjoy a lot of teas that can be steeped multiple times. When I'm comparing two or more of them I would like to have a set of very small gaiwans so that I don't end up floating to the restroom as much. I've got a few 60mL pots, but the smallest gaiwan I have found at my chinatown market is 80mL.
Does anyone know where I might find smaller gaiwans?

Re: Wanted: small gaiwan
The Tea Gallery has a nice (but kind of pricey) 60 ml version. I think you can try poking around Yunnan Sourcing or Dragon Tea House, and I think they have smaller versions. Some of the smaller ones don't have the bottom "dish" though, so it's a three-finger technique only gaiwan...

The Tea Gallery one is the one you want. I own 2 of them. If you want to look locally, some of the Tian Ren / Tian Fu shops here used to have a really small one, but the shape isn't as nice or the lid as flared as the Tea Gallery one.

... you do not have to fill your larger gaiwan all the way ... as a temporary measure anyway.

This is what I'm already doing. The tea gallery gaiwans look lovely, but yes, on the pricey side. I'm spoiled by my $3.99 gaiwans from wing hop fung!Chip wrote:... you do not have to fill your larger gaiwan all the way ... as a temporary measure anyway.
