Thursday TeaDay 1/28/10 Last day w/o a brewski?

BYOT! Enter TeaChat here, you never know what you may find!

About 2 years ago, Olivierco asked, "when was the last time you did not have a tea for an entire day?" And when you did not drink tea, what was the reason?

I'm glad you're feeling better!

Good luck!

Few weeks ago I forgot my thermos of tea when heading off to the alternate office where I did not have any way to brew more. And I got home so late and tired that I went straight to bed without any tea. It was a sad day.

Thanks Laura! I can feel my anxiety/excitement mounting, and I am breathing and doing my best to manage myself. I leave to go to the exam site in about an hour. Plan to get there at noon, then start the exam not too long after that.
Again, thanks.
Whew - this is some ride.

Technically last Friday I did not have Tea, just got swept up in doing so many other things.

But Of note the entire time my car was broken down half way between my parents house and school, I went without tea for nearly a week, as my tea stuff was packed up on Wednesday and I finally arrived at school on the following Wednesday.

Good luck BRAD and SEEKER on your respective exams!

I cannot remember the last time I did not have tea in the course of an entire day. It may have been more than 5 years ago! But I voted I cannot remember the last time I did not have tea. I remember having a stomach virus around 7 years ago, and might not have then.

Began the TD with some dribs and drabs of Sencha which was surpringly good considering they were old and tinyish pieces from the bottom of tins. SweeTea was content to enjoy the tea while Lili, Lil Bit, and Gandalf just wanted attention and treats.

Next up, A tasting of Zencha Fuji SP which is excellent.

I went without tea for 6 whole months (just slowly getting out of this hiatus now)   Pregnancy hormones wrecked havoc with my taste buds, and combined with a doctor-inflicted caffeine paranoia I decided the best way to go was cold turkey. I didn't even visit TeaChat so that I wouldn't be tempted. Maybe that's why the baby is now 6 days overdue???

Had some horrid tea at a dim sum restaurant for lunch. Looking forward to some Long Jing later today.

Hi Everyone,

I am returned from my quest...

and I vanquished the dragon!!!! I PASSED!!! YAY!!!

Thank you each and all for your kind words, support, prayers, good will, good intent, just Thank you. It meant a lot. And I sort of had you with me as evidenced by the following comments--

And thanks artmom for the tea idea - here's a pic of how I took the tea in with me:
Image

That's a wonderful crystal pendant/necklace I picked up a while back.
btw - that little paper in there is a note that came with the piece, and it says, "a smile costs nothing to give and is a joy to receive." I've just always left it inside. And artmom - I added some organic silver needle to the compartment - and as it lay over my heart, touched my hand to it several times and felt supported in centering. Again, my humble thanks.

I took a thermos of organic silver needle with me, and had it as soon as I came out from the exam. Ahhh.

Congratulations, Seeker! And that's a very cool necklace/charm thingy!

Teashionista, hope that baby comes soon!

I can't remember the last time I went a day without tea. It may have been a few months ago when I had some medical tests done.

Today I enjoyed Nilgiri Glendale, Fujian Baroque, and an Oolong throughout the TeaDay.

Seeker - Congrats!! I'm glad the tea helped, great suggestion, Artmom!

Finished off the day with 2 tastings - 2 flavored oolongs (not bad, not my favorite though), and 2 white teas - Adagio's Snowbud and White Peony - (since by the time I was finished with the oolongs, the water was perfectly cooled for white!)
