tea Pot recommendations/Idea

by BlindBleu » Feb 1st, '10, 15:38

I currently use a Mr. Coffee Style tea maker which I use to make Iced tea.

I am currently making Rooibos, Honeybush and Spearmint, in my Tea Maker, but I feel I am not getting the full use/flavor out of my teas.

I use powdered Stevia to sweeten my teas as they brew.

I also brew Yerba Mate blends also. But right now drinking the Rooibos and Honeybush blend.

I drink a large amount of iced tea through out my entire day. 100+ ounces of iced teas. Yes I know that is a lot reason why I am using the non caffeine types of teas.

So my basic questions?

1. If I use a tea pot what brand/kind and what size? I have seen the Bee House recommended but I have also found the HuesNBrews. I think I would prefer one with a built in strainer/infuser preferably of stainless.

2. If I use a Tea Press what brand/kind and what size?

Thank you

Do you prefer any material over another? (plastic, glass, ceramic...)

You could always check out the 32 oz utiliTEA from Adagio.

Here's a video of the 16oz version: http://www.blip.tv/file/3082885/

Would prefer something on the less fragile side. :D

Interesting on the IngenuiTEA. The Video helped explain it better.

Food Grade Plastics, ceramics and sturdy glass I think would work well.

thanks

The IngenuiTEA is great. I've kept the box and use it to pack it for traveling - it went with me on my 6-week work trip to NJ and it's survived just fine.

Except for a run-in with the bottom of the dishwasher through at least 2 cycles, when it melted :(
