Teavana Auto Tea
Has anyone tried the Teavana Auto Tea from the people at Teavana? I'm in the market for an automatic electric tea maker, and would love it if someone with some first hand knowledge could fill me in on the pros and cons of the major three (Teavana, Zarafina, and of course TriniTea). Are there any other major ones? I'm also having trouble finding availabilty for the TriniTea. Everyone seems to be out of stock. Was there a problem with it or is it just that great? Any ideas/help? Thanks!
I just saw this at my local Teavana store in the Westfield mall in NorCal... it looks pretty nice... Sadly, I cannot find very much information on the net but it looks and feels solidly built.. i am considering this and the TriniTEA but really find both their pricetags way too high ($100 for TriniTEA and $120 for Teavana)
I may buy and will post impressions if I do...

well, i just bought one of these two Electric Tea makers... and the winner is....
TriniTEA
At the end of the day my determining factors were substance over style... I found the Teavana much smaller and the brushed steel looked pretty sweet but the two temp settings sold me on the TriniTEA... I do a lot of green, iced, for my daily beverage consumption and my morning and nightime (hot) teas are (mostly) black and (some)white so the temp settings will help me brew a better tea!
Also, teavana doesn't have the most reassuring return policy (they said I couldn't return it after using it .. and a second person told me i could so who knows) and since there are NO reviews on the net of the Teavana and it's $20 more than TriniTEA, which here and many places on the net I found impressions, reviews and the like I felt pretty good about my choice!
BTW, my tea story started out with a hamilton beach iced tea maker (gave to my mom), then i bought the tea drop some time after (gave to my sis).. Overall I think these devices work fine for people just looking for simplicity and effeciency and at least it gets tea into their lives! but as MY tea brewing has taken on a whole new level (I now drink between 64 and 96 ounces a day! screw water, drink tea
), i want to steep for the right amount of time and at the right temp and i don't want to baby sit it anymore! TriniTEA will change that lol
I will post my review after giving it a good run!
