TriniTea Maker

by CJluvsT » Feb 13th, '09, 13:33

What do you all think of this? I'm growing weary of having to boil water over and over. I thought of getting the UtiliTea kettle, but for 40 bucks more, this does it all! Just can't decide if it's worth it tho. The reviews are mixed.

I mostly drink white and herbals, and blacks occasionally.

I've recently gotten into tea in the past few months, I've bought a lot of little devices, teapots and so on, and I have to say, that Utilitea thing is so far one of my favorites...

Thanks for your imput. I did order the UtiliTea kettle last night! I think it will make things a lot easier without taking all the fun out of brewing it yourself!

I bought the TriniTea a month or so ago, and we love it. It does have its specific use, though. The TriniTea is great for mornings when I'm running later for work and don't have the time to tend to making a pot of tea for my morning thermos. It's also nice for the weekend when I just want to keep topping off my mug as I'm working around the house. In the evenings though, I'll stick with the more manual tea brewing methods, to enjoy the relaxing part of steeping the tea myself.

I haven't had any issues with my TriniTea, as far as functionality goes. So I'd recommend the TriniTea, if automation of the tea process is you are looking for.

I own one as well and it works great. I have one in my office. My coworkers love it to because they can just stop by and pour themselves a cup. The only slight flaw is that all of the water doesn't drain and a small puddle will be left in the top chamber. Not that big of a deal 2 me. So far I've only used it to brew black and oolongs.
I ♥ TEA!

I purchased the original Trinitea Maker some years ago. It only has one setting, but was the most efficient way to make black tea which is part of my morning ritual (like some people with coffee).

After my success with the original, I upgraded to the newest version two year ago. I must admit that the original was built to last. The build quality on the newer one doesn't seem to be as good. However, I love it's versatility. The new one remains on my kitchen counter and has been used at least once a day. So far no real issues with it.

I've used two other brands of tea makers over the years and the Trinitea is far and above the best value on the market.
