I've had a few from him now and they all seem to have some poor storage; a bit musty and flat, with some moreso than others. I will also need to try letting the leaf breathe a bit longer on some of these.

There are some aged wulong in which a slight mustiness can compliment the tea, but it actually seemed to cover up many/most of the nuances of these teas. They weren't bad, and I haven't tried all of his, but for my money I'll probably go elsewhere in the future.

The '79 beauty wasn't the cleanest tasting of teas. Certainly a little musty. I still find it very pleasant though.

The '89 baozong tasted far cleaner but I'd rather drink the beauty anytime

ABx: I'll likely not be buying any more aged oolong for a bit but can ask for any recommendations you have, for some tea pr0n if nothing else?

I returned to J-tea's today to get more tea. I drank all of the aged beauty I had bought and needed to get more.

I don't know if it's musty or not...(not that I am experiencing but I am new to tea). Over the last month or so, I've grown very comfortable and happy with it. I bought a big bag this time. :)

I also purchased a small bag of his ancient tree single arbor Pu'erh. I've sampled it a few times in his shop and find it very soft but with that same elusive aftertaste I've fallen in love with.
