Re: Saturday TeaDay 2/13/10 One more Tea Brew vessel analysis?
Okay, okay. you guys quit making fun of me not counting chawan. I don't want to know how many I have, because then I might feel guilty.

I KNEW tea was addictive!
I've only got five but then again, I've only known about tea for less than a year....

Thanks! I was inspired by blairswhitaker chabana thread. I found this sweet little vase on Etsy, I think really compliments the Hagi.

8, I think--three kyusu, a PersonaliTea, a Koryo cup, a brew-in-mug set, a gaiwan, and an infuser basket. That's all the pieces I remember off the top of my head, anyway. Curses for not being home!
Today's tea has variously consisted of a nice heavy roast TGY in my Koryo and Tazo Awake teabags in the dining hall.

Thanks for coloring TD, Seeker and Victoria with Hagi SO's! It is always rewarding seeing them with my small hand in the sharing of Hagi!
Earthquake, Victoria? I had not heard, hope the Hagi is all well.
Found a few more pieces ... they seem to fill spaces that I forget about. 1 Korean "kyusu," and 2 ceramic Japanese pots from my earliest days.
A tasting of Zencha Fuji the Ultimate earlier brewed in a Momiji Kyusu.
And just brewed up some Kukicha from Den's with Mrs. Chip in a Japanese kyusu from my earliest days as well, it is a sentimental fave ... even if it is not the bestest.

Yes, all the Hagi is safe, thanks for asking ... but it always makes me worry, a very queasy, uneasy feeling. I didn't hear anything on the news, but my Hubby called to see if I was ok. He said it was a 4.1 in the next county over, but it was felt all the way to San Diego, he was more worried about me than the Hagi.Chip wrote: Earthquake, Victoria? So yesterday was busy... had about 5 mins at the computer between driving, work, getting a haircut and massage (and for free! I love my boyfriend's job
)
Anyway, I'd say... not counting all the different mugs that I can fit an infuser in... 3 small teapots with matching cups (2-6 cups per set), 3 larger to large teapots (only one with an infuser, but that's ok), 1 IngenuiTEA (but considering getting one for work), and 2 (identical) gaiwan.
If you want to count mugs that can actually hold my infuser... that adds 6 (including work mug), I think. Too lazy to go downstairs and count. So grand total: 14.
As for tea, I had more vanilla-peach oolong, and some silver needle in the evening.
