Favorite is sencha of course. I voted less than 1 minute, but it is 45ish, 60ish, 75ish, or 90ish for the first steep depending on whether it is fuka, chu, or asamushi and what the specific selection is.

Began the TD with a tasting of Organic sencha from O-Cha, Oku Yutaka, last of a sample served up in a TC/SO Deishi Shira Wan. It was very good, great aroma. SweeTea wanted to participate in this final tasting while Pyrit and Lil Bit observed TeaTable top.

Next up ... ?

Congratulations, Adam!

TD continued with Genmaicha at the Sushi Bar and now at home with a tasting of Zencha's Matcha from Yame, Kasumi, with Mrs. Chip served up in a Cory Lum Chawan.

Congratulations Adam!!! Savor the journey - (I hope it is sweet).

My fav tea of late is japanese sencha, and generally I do 1min or less for 1st infusion.
(I'm not counting matcha in this discussion - because infusion time for matcha seems at least somewhat not applicable; although I imagine this could be argued).

About to infuse some Jasmine White Peony.

Thanks for coloring TD, Adam, is that a newbie for you?

Just some Houjicha currently ... in a ChicagoPotter yunomi.

Wow, great Olympics today.

Chip it is a new cup, for me, I got in from a tea swap with another tea chat member. I dare say as much as I love hagi, I am almost as much in love with Blue and White Porcelain (though probably due to my mothers influence).

But I'm not about to go buy a bunch of Blue and white, as I like Blue and white porcelain, but I am all about earthenware and stoneware Pottery.
