...and got an e-mail from PayPal saying:
"We have reason to believe that your account was accessed by a third party. Because protecting the security of your account is our primary concern, we have limited access to sensitive PayPal account features. We understand that this may be an inconvenience but please understand that this temporary limitation is for your protection."
*facepalm*
Seriously? wtf...
Now my account has limited access until it gets fixed.
...why didn't I just use my CC.
I was able to fix it after confirming that I really am me but... sheesh.

Are you sure it was not a phishing email? Did the email inside address you by name?

Oh no it was legit. No link was included inside the actual email for me to blindly follow
I logged into my PayPal account by going to the PP site, etc. to double check that the same problem was showing up there. Had to go through a few steps to correct it, but yeah... definitely legit.
Unless the actual PP site was haxzored

Yeah, definitely crazy.
PP made me change my password first thing as I logged in. And PP is now waiting on TFT to respond to something before my order can be completed. Oh well... guess there is time since the post office is shut down until 2/22

My paypal did the same thing a while back, it seems bad but doesn't take too long to fix. Did it make you confirm your telephone number by calling you like 10sec after you clicked on something? I thought that was really cool.

It asked for that but I don't have a landline (my billing address is actually my parent's house... and it was after midnight, so I couldn't really wake them and ask them to wait for the PP call for me, haha) but I was able to use some CC validation thing-- they charged my account for $1.25 and it had some top secret code on my CC statement that I had to verify.

hi, somewhat off topic.
Have you tried tea from Tea From Taiwan? If so, how is it? I prefer high mountain - Alishan oolong and this vendor seems to have a variety of high mountian oolongs with reasonable prices....if the quality is there.
I was about to order oolong samples till I saw they are closed for a few days. I will place the order once they reopen.

I've always gotten good quality tea from them.

From the samples I tried, their high mountain tea is not bad IMO.

I received the samples from 'Tea from Taiwan' and have tried 2 of them so far and have to say was very impressed. So far I had their Wu Ling and Dong Ding Ming Xiang, I will for sure place another order after I sample the rest.

It has been a few years since I ordered anything from this vendor. Please feel free to add your reviews, experiences in their "official" vendor guide topic:
