Travel Chasen

by rjiwrth » Mar 10th, '10, 07:32

I've been searching for a decent travel chasen, but haven't found one that has enough prongs (at least 80). I'm curious how others travel with theirs if they don't have a specific container. I'd like to stay with appropriate equipment if I can, but if I have to do something make-shift, I suppose I can. Ideas?

I actually just got this: http://www.denstea.com/index.php?main_p ... th=274_434 from Den's. Haven't used it yet tho. Sure there are more elegant solutions out there...Looks like Dragon Tea House has a similar piece as well.

I have a metal can that came with some Tie Guanyin that someone gave me. It fits my chasen and protects it. I was planning on making a container out of a piece of PVC pipe before I found the can. I think that would work well because it would be very strong. Just a suggestion.

Thanks. I was wondering about that one. I like it, but wasn't sure on the amount of prongs. I think I will email Den. You're right, DTH does have one and that's the one that only has 40 prongs. But the case is soooo cute!

I like the idea of the can. All of my cans are about 40 gr. sizes, but that's something to look out for. Good idea.
