Wow, nice rhino! I mean teaset. Never saw one like that before. Who made it? Thanks for coloring TD!

I drink less volume today than several years ago. I guess I go with quality over quantity now. Still likely 50-75 ounces a day on average.

Began the TD with mystery sencha from Ryu Mei brwed and served in Noutomi Susumi tebineri kyusu and yunomi. SweeTea was impressed while Gandalf, Lili, and Kati visited the TeaTable this morning.

The little teapot/gaiwan is a set from Houde. He hasn't had them for probably a year and a half. It came with two little butterfly sparkly teacups. The cup is from a local potter husband/wife team. She leaf presses a lot of her things. This one had a particularly nice glaze. I have another tiny green one with fir needles pressed in, but I don't use it much. She has an etsy shop here, but none of her teacups are online.

I've been trying several new teas, trying to figure out what I like and what I don't, so I've been enjoying around 1/2 gallon or more of tea a day (plenty more on days off) as I have 8-16 ounces of tea each brew and try 4-5 different teas a day.

NPR had an interesting piece about tea on their website today. Sarah Rose wrote a book about "The Tea Thieves" (The Brits, of course!). Here's the article if anyone is interested: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/stor ... =125237353

Btw, Sarah Rose, you can stop by for tea anytime and you won't even have to steal it. w00t

Fukamushi gyokuro from umami-chaya in my cup this afternoon. It's pretty decent.

Somewhere between 32 and 48ish, I believe. Although right now I'm not enjoying it as much since I was stupid enough to buy from Teavana ( totally wish I had found this forum before that) and am waiting for an order from Mountain Rose Herbs to try theirs.

And do help a newbie out. Does TD stand for TeaDay?

Thank you, Geek. I wonder if she would do a Japanese Maple leaf ...

3, sometimes 4 8-oz mugs at work throughout the day, then usually another 12, sometimes 16 oz before/with dinner, so I went with <48. Sometimes more, but those days are fairly rare. And weekends vary - still usually end up with 2 kinds of tea, but I average 2 steeps apiece (depending on type and how I end up brewing it that day), not 3-4.

No tea this morning, got back from running errands and fixed some Fukamushi sencha for me, and some grapefruit oolong for my boyfriend. I'm thinking some Alishan next... off to start more water!!

Thank you for coloring TD, Victoria.

TD continued more tea liquids. Enjoyed Matcha earlier with Mrs. Chip in a ShyRabbit chawan followed by Long Jing in a dragon gaiwanesque/cup set.

Despite the lacking of great sencha, it was a great TD!

Thanks, Chip!

Today was some Nutcracker Sweet from my previous tea vendor. It's heavily spiced, I think maybe even more than chai. Husband doesn't like it, but he does like chai. And speaking of chai, had some of that, too. But this one was from Teavana, since I have to use what I bought and they won't let me return it. :x It was OK, a bit weak, and the "vanilla flavoring" made it taste a bit off to me.

Gorgeous cup, Victoria!!!

No more tea for me this evening, but I did have the last of some Baozhong and TGY - mixed. Not a bad combination! Winding down from a nice, relaxing weekend before beginning all over again.
