What are Adagio tins clear on top?

What are Adagio tins clear on top?

If tea is light sensitive, why do Adagio tins have a clear top? To see the tea? The (practically) permanent label should tell you what tea it is.

Hey, there! The tops of our tins are clear, but are coated in a UV protective coating which protects the tea from sunlight and allows you to see the pretty leaves before purchasing.
