I'll drink some sencha and send some good intentions your way

Happy celebrations and may you have many more to come.

Happy Birthday Chip.
+10!

Also, Seeker, what is that fabulous black and green masterpiece in the center of your first pic? And how do I go about stealing it?!

Heating up some water for Fukamushi sencha now... using a green pot, but not a matching cup since when I drink alone it gets really bitter by the time I pour the second cup... But the cream-colored cup lets me see the green beauty of the tea!!

Thank you all so very kindly!!!

And yeah Seeker, what is that blackish yunomi??? Thanks for coloring TD!

Good Genmaicha and great sushi/sashimi earlier ... followed by the previously mentioned Matcha.

... hmmm, 8:15 PM ... is there time for one more tea, a mini session perhaps?!? Maybe in a mini Korean travel set gift received today with a little help from a Californian TCer?

Hibiki-an sencha went nicely with lunch and Tsuru-Jiru-Shi complemented my wife's vegetarian chili nicely at supper.

Pictures? :D :D

Also, another couple days and I'll be finished with this pack of Fukamushi - I promised myself I would only have one pack from Den's open at a time. Soon, it will be a debate between Genmaicha and Fukamidori.

Well, BIRTHDAY BOY, I tried the sample of Den's Organic Sencha. I'm either not brewing right, or something, or else I just am not going to be a green tea drinker! But I did it for you!

Happy Birthday, Chip!

Yuuki's Tenkei Tori matcha (again) in my cup this morning and ippodo's kaboku sencha around noon. Finishing the last square of coppeneur's Java 72% before going to bed.

Went with some mystery Korean green from Hankook.

Awwww, thanks. It was the thought that counts and touched my heart! Which sencha was it? Perhaps you need a personal lesson?

And currently a wonderful cuppa Korean Hydrangea "tea" from Hankook.

Okey doke - here's a couple more shots of that yunomi.

It's not artisan made I don't think. There's no potters mark on the bottom or anywhere on it. I bought it at Tokyo Fish Market in Berkeley, and there were several on the shelf. This particular one called me. All the others were quite similar. I don't think it was very expensive either.
(kinda reminds me of seigan's 'cucumber' glaze, eh?).

Cheers.
Hope all have had a good TD.
Chip - especially you, hope you had a good b'day TD. Happy, happy.
(gonna hit a bit more green and maybe a chocolate chip cookie, heh heh).

Whoa dude!!! That is crazy cool! And nice jade wan!

So, my 100th birthday has come and gone. I managed to celebrate with 100 cups of green tea and a 100 mile bike ride around the tea fields adjacent to Mt. Fuji.

I will report findings in Thursday's TeaDay.

Chip, the sencha I tried in your honor was included in Den's green tea sampler for beginners. The only info I could find on it was Organic Sencha. I'll keep trying; I have more greens on hand.

I definitely need a personal lesson; will Mrs. Chip allow that???? Actually, when my granddaughter returns in May or June from two years in Japan, I hope to have my first cup of green tea made by someone who knows how. :D That's what she drinks now.

I am certain your granddaughter will convert you to the green side. Mrs C says fine if you need my help.

OK, better late than never.

Or, as they say in my business, Better Late than Pregnant.

Happy belated birthday to my friend, Mr. Green. I will drink some sencha for you tomorrow morning.

I hope you enjoyed your GREEN today! Thanks for the birthday wishes.

I finished the TD last evening with Dan Cong Aria from Adagio. I have to say, this Dan Cong is very approachable and fail proof to brew compared to a lot of other DCs I have failed miserably in brewing.

... and still brewing it today.
