I sweeten iced tea with stevia (actually drinking some right now with a splash of lemon too). I have several Adagio flavored rooibos that I usually sweeten too.

I never have sweetened green tea or oolong. I haven't sweetened hot black tea since shortly after I found good loose leaf black tea.

Happy Spring,
Dreamer

What I like about that one particularly is the spicy edge to the strong sweet. I had some a few evenings ago and it was lovely.

Ugh. Sickeningly sweet. The taste was like a cup of average black tea with 30 lumps of sugar.
Gamro from Hankook is Korean Hydrangea leaves. Only 1-2 leaves per 6-10 ounces water. My first reaction was, whoa, sweet. But it is also refreshing and a nice diversion in the evening.

I would imagine if you used too much, it would be sickeningly sweet.
Ah! That might be it. I'll use less leaf next time, I haven't thrown it away yet like I wanted to do after that first disgusting sip...

Yeah, hope that works for you. BTW, it is sometimes used as a sweetener, so yeah, it is sweet.

I first tasted the hydrangea tea when I was given some as a free sample, and I was stunned when I first sipped this incredible tea, then opened the lid to see just two leaves flavoring a pint of hot water. When I got home, I steeped it again for another pint of wonderful sweet tea.
