I'm a very thin person, and I DO drink soda and juice... guess you just have to know your body.

I think it´s kind of like cigarrettes...are the corporations that make them responsible for people getting sick or the stupid people that smoke them?

Well kinda both....

Sugar is always a trigger topic on TeaChat, it is a loaded gun. (pun intended, following the gun and people post. 8) )

And don't get me started on the tobacco industry.

Well, too much sugar isn't nearly as bad as carcinogens and tar... without getting off topic (being as this thread is about the wonders of oolong :P ) I'd have to say that the cigarrette companies are a *wee bit* more responsible for the health repercussions of their products.

The reason so many gimicks sell is because people want results without action, and if it means that they can sit on the couch watching sex and the city while holding their nose and chugging tea they are willing to waste money on it.

Sadly those are the people who think tea is gross because they never learn about good tea or how to steep it properly, they go to the store, by lipton green tea bags, boil the water, and steep the tea for 10 minutes thinking they are going to lose weight. :(
