Began the day with several cups of lotus petal green tea. Currently, I'm drinking some pu-erh that is both celebratory (I finished my one paper, now I can just study like a maniac) and calming (I'm packing stuff up to send home, and one of my paint markers decided to leak all over my fingers...oy).

Re: Mother's Day 2010
I'm at college, about five hours (directly) or ten hours (actual travel time...silly bus schedules
) from my mother's house, so there aren't any plans aside from calling her after she gets home from work. Tea, however, figures prominently today, as usual.

The tea collection and related paraphernalia are going to be among the last things boxed up, definitely!

Re: Mother's Day 2010
Tea wound up playing a great role in my Mother's day celebration - not only did we partake at lunch, but I also gave a custom blend as a gift for my mom and grandmother...and wound up receiving a tea chest in from my own daughter!
Good people, good food, good tea...good times were had by all.
Happy Mother's Day!

Well, after the fact albeit ... and not quite as planned. I figured tea would be part of a road show visiting moms, but alas, rushed out the door TeaLess. Oh well ...
Began the TeaDay with organic shincha Asatsuya from Yuuki-Cha and a late tea this evening with Sae Midori organic also from Yuuki-Cha with Mrs. Chip. Still working on perfecting the parameters for these fuka organics, but they definitely need more leaf than conventionally grown.

Re: Mother's Day 2010
Mother's day fail: no one home when I called.
The tea day was more successsful: started with another infusion from the Korean hydrangea leaves I started brewing from last night. Then I tried the Gyokuro Suimei I've been having trouble with higher temp and shorter infusion, and got something I liked better than the last few tries. But it was so good I drank all of it, and when a litle later I was ready to try again with some shots of my yunomis, quickly brewed up a bit of the Silver Dragon white tea again to serve as a prop. I'm now working with some Po Tou, ginger flower fragrance dan cong, and the way this tea keeps going and going I think I should be able to get all the way through the evening.

Ended up with CranApple with lunch, Fujian with dinner - not an exciting TeaDay, but tasty nonetheless.
