I want to try the true taste of aged puerh.

Hi! I want to try the true taste of a good aged sheng puerh tea cake.
Until now I tried many cakes, bricks, tuocha... I tried some samples of 1997/1998 shu (shu not sheng and not very good indead) but anything of really good sheng taste pu before 2005.
Now I want to try something very good to understand what must be really the true taste of a very good aged sheng cake. What can I try and where can I search for it? Thank's.

I'd recommend The Essence of Tea (formerly Nadacha): http://www.essenceoftea.co.uk/Tea/Aged% ... 2001).html

He has a variety of offerings at very fair prices. I'd recommend the 1996 Menghai 8582 (very good value for the price) and the "Orange in Orange". I also appreciate that I can determine the amount of tea by the gram that I wish to purchase.

You may also want to look into Houdeasianart.com. Although this is usually more pricey and he doesn't have as many "sample" offerings as he use to.

There's old tea and there's old tea. It's worth shopping around and, very important, finding out where and how the tea has been stored as this has a profound effect on the ageing process. What one person thinks is excellent aged tea, another will think is undrinkable. :)

I didn't know that site before but it's very nice! :)
Yesterday I have order a sample of the 1960's cake and one tuocha of 1980.
For the 1996's cake I must wait my next order.
I will tell you how will be the sample and the tuocha. Thank's for your suggestion.
