Does anyone collect teaspoons?

by omegapd » May 17th, '10, 06:28

Sorry if this has been discussed before...just curious. A lot of the little spoons that used to be pretty prevalent as souveniers from different states, etc. are about the perfect size for a teaspoon. The "collector" in me likes this idea and it would be easier to store and display than collecting more cups and teapots.

Anyone else do this? The fact that those spoons aren't at every roadside tourist trap nowadays makes it even more appealing to collect to me. It wouldn't even have to be the touristy ones- I'm sure many neat old Victorian era spoons can be found in antique shops, etc.

I used to collect teaspoons commemorating silent movie stars. They were made in the teens and '20's. They're all in storage now, so I don't know if you could still say I collect them.
