Re: Saturday TeaDay 5/22/10 Where in the world are you?!?
I recently moved to Arizona. I used to live in New Mexico so I'm very much from the Southwest.

Right now, I'm living in Alabama. But I'm not terribly fond of the warm weather, and I really plan on moving further north as soon as it's feasible.
Sticking with herbals this evening. I have to get up far too early in the morning to risk any bit of caffeine keeping me up.

I hope to attend OSU in Columbus next year where most of my friends live now. Im in Columbus at least once a week for hockey, and I drive through Circleville to get there. What a small worldLauraW wrote:I grew up in Columbus - my parents are still there, so I'm around occasionally. And a high school friend down in Circleville, so I'm almost familiar with Chillicothe. And a college friend of mine did Tecumseh a couple years ago.brad4419 wrote:I live in Ohio, which is in the mid west region. I go to college in Chillicothe(1 hour south of Columbus) and thats where my family lives so it works out great but I definately plan on living somewhere else after school.
Chillicothe is most famous for the Native American History and mostly Tecumseh. Chillicothe has an outdoor drama about Tecumseh every year. I went to the drama many times as a kid and remember it being very good but haven't been in several years.
Second famous thing is our agriculture(corn basically)
And yes, lots of corn.
Cats are making me sniffly today, think I might go for some tea... I'm thinking Snowbud again.
Thats my plan tooVictoria wrote:Me too.LauraW wrote:I went to college and just never moved back. Now... off to work!Victoria wrote: I have relatives in Columbus. I grew up about 75 miles south of there.
The weather was a chief influence on my departing.

Finishing the day with some shoumei white tea. Maine is beautiful but it gets really cold at night... Oh well, even more of a reason to drink copious amounts of tea!

Small world indeed - enjoy OSU, I found it too large (and close-to-home) for my liking - but then, my high school had 200 people, and I really didn't feel like making the transition from 200 to 50,000... so I went from 200 to 2600, much more reasonable.brad4419 wrote:I hope to attend OSU in Columbus next year where most of my friends live now. I am asure of that. I just wanted to be naughty. The heat is driving everybody nuts and me soon insane. The poll choices are usually selected based more on anticipated responders. It is not possible to list all options since choices are limited by the forum's formatting. I guess I did OK since there is only 1 responder currently from the Asia, Africa, Australia bunched option.
I do the best I can.
Now I hear thunder. Could that mean I will be saved?

I guess Alberta is a bit simple minded...we always have to have the biggest somethingdebunix wrote:I never found a place in my heart for the toasted ravioli, but in my nine years in St Louis I came to adore Ted Drewe's, and really miss those concretes on hot summer nights with the crowds still thick at midnight.Dreamer wrote:I'm right here in the Midwest US...live in a 'burb of St. Louis.
We're famous for toasted ravioli, frozen custard (think extremely delish creamy ice cream)...
But it wasn't until I got my new job in LA that I had my own office where I can keep a tea setup there as well as at home that my tea explorations really took off.
