How do you brew it? I tried 2g to ~4oz water for 45 seconds at differing temps, but I can never get the good flavor I remember from regular YM.
Higher leaf to water ratio will make it sing the greens! I have been brewing with .8-.9 grams per ounce water. I have also been using the preheat method which has worked so well that I have not used the non preheat method.
Speaking of non preheat method, 2nd try of Fukamushi Shincha LE from Hibiki-an with Mrs.Chip. First try, I went with preheating method with dismal results. This time I tried the preheating method with "fair" results. Has Hibiki-an gone downhill since last time I had their stuff 2-3 years ago?
Interesting, YM ... instant success! In fact virtually everything so far has brrewed up quite nicely ... well, I have not given up yet.

Joined in the Lochan tasting, and all those Darjeelings were pretty stellar. But the Margaret's Hope first flush really stood out - amazing!

My best tea of May was Rishi's roasted TGY. I love it more than I probably ought to.
Fending off exhaustion after a day spent thrifting with a nice hot cuppa bai hao.

A Jade Tie Guan Yin because I drunk it when our hot weather broke by the first rain or was it the othert way around. The tea and the rain remains memorably to me.

After this morning, I drank some pu-erh with chrysanthemum petals and some sencha with jasmine-- I think I was in the mood for floral tea today!

It´s hard to pick one I finished off a few very good teas this month...
I think the vote will goto euro té`s puerh caramelo for it´s uhm...apparent aphrodisiac effect.
gf gave me a 50g tin of it for Christmas...I just finished the last of it last week

Really torn between one of the Taiwanese oolongs and my morning favorite, but I'll go with the black tea because oolongs are already well-represented here!
Hediard's Melange Anniversaire from a few years ago- a slightly smoky blend of black tea with rose, sunflower, orange blossom, cream, bergamot, grapefruit, orange, passionfruit, and apricot. Smells like beauty.
