Hi all,
Just got my Den's kyusu... wondering if any of you guys had problems with the obi-ami mesh rusting or corroding? Do you find it convenient to use?
Thanks

Completely trouble free ... just rinse well with HOT water and air dry thoroughly after using.
Re: Obi-ami mesh
I love mine, just recently got another obi-ami kyusu. Hot water and air dry (with the lid OFF!) for me too, and no problems. The screens are starting to pick up a bit of "color" though -- my Den's actually does look a bit rusty, but as far as I can tell it's just a bit of brown tea-gunk(tm) from brewing houjicha. In my new kyusu, after just a week or so of daily shincha brewing (fukamushi), the screen is already starting to look green. Occasional thorough cleaning will probably be required, but for now, I'm happy with a good rinse and dry.

If unglazed, vinegar works well. I often use a dry unused toothbrush to a dry screen to knock off solids such as tea stained scale.
