Isn't eBay great? You can find just about everything there. I'd better go check it out!

Good idea! I just checked and there are a bunch of Pyrex teapots that hold upwards of 6 cups or 58oz of tea. There are others that are only 4 cup, like this one. I liked the tea cozy, but pink isn't really my color.

Hey guys,

Old topic but I thought I should address this incase anyone is still worried about this. I'm sure a lot of new people are confused about this as well. The polycarb material that we use is made by GE. It's very good. We had it tested and its BPA-free, so don't worry. Drink away :)

The health effects of BPA are still somewhat debatable (unless your a child in my opinion). With any plastic there will be some of it that leaches out into the solutions it contains, same for the BPA replacements. The health effects of the replacements are relatively unknown/unstudied as well. I still use my BPA containers. When you choose a plastic container, a plastic is a plastic, not exactly my first choice for hot beverages.

I read recetly that those food plastics are safe to use with hot water, however, one should avoid scratching it in any way. Therefore it should be cleaned only with a soft cloth. I have one of those machines, not IngenuiTea, a convenient 250 ml size and use it w/o an increase in my heart beat.

I heard that too, grown adults don't have to worry too much.. but I still do. If you get low quality plastics made in China then there's a high possibility that after a while there will be leeching. Europe is much more stringent on regulations than the US so we had to get our products professionally tested. They are safe. GE doesn't mess around (they make the cup material). I'm wary of other plastic products though. Most are made in China so you never know the quality.

When I was on the market for a portable tea thermos, I stayed away from plastics. I got the Tea Tiger from Strand Tea. It's very much like a great thermos I had from China which broke. This one broke too. Awesome design but glass is just too fragile :/ The Ingenuitea is the first plastic cup that I use and I feel totally fine with it. I don't like how the filters don't last very long but that'll be fixed soon with the new design.

I believe we are also working on a portable tea cup idea right now so I'm excited for that. :D

OK, Your paranoid
Foods that used to be in glass are now in plastic
It's getting harder and harder to find anything in glass.
Glass Milk bottles are now collectors items.
It's obviously a conspiracy. :D

I'd more cite that booze is being bottled ever more in plastic. THAT is what scares me more xD
