I dont drink RTDs much and hot weather doesn´t push me to them. When I´m eating out at fast food kinda places I have bottled water or nestea. At home I sometimes drink Boylan´s Bottle Co natural sodas...maybe like 2 per month or so as a treat.

I only drink hot tea and room temperature water on a daily basis, but my husband drinks a LOT of bottled beverages. He also likes iced tea, so I've been experimenting with brewing higher quality tea (than he is used to, as he will get those $1 buckets of sweet tea from McDonalds) and then chilling it for him.

I have floated the idea of slowly reducing the amount of sugar added to the homebrew iced tea to wean him off so much sugar and just get him into drinking tea. He seems agreeable!

edit: wait, I lied! I have recently started cold brewing Lupicia's Japanese green teas in a thick-walled glass pitcher over a few days in the fridge and I find it AWESOME. The tea comes out full of flavor, super grassy, naturally sweet, and with a very mild finish.

Rarely if ever drink RTD's anymore, but if/when I do, it's usually Tejava for iced tea on the go.

In my Hagi wan this morning - a mix of whites.

Cheers.

I occasionally grab some RTD iced tea on the go, preferably the unsweetened golden oolong Ito En puts out. I enjoy a soda or two per week, also.

Baozhong for me as well this afternoon, though not one as spectacular as Vic's!

Another late first post for TD ... :( Thanks Seeker for coloring our TD with your Sansai Tebineri!

Very rarely will I go the RTD route. And then my first choice would be water, then maybe a fruit juice ... but I personally just don't feel right about RTDs.

About twice a year, the planets will align just right and I will have a soda. Come to think of it, I cannot remember the last soda I had. Must mean I am due!

Iced tea RTDs, not really interested, prefering to make my own iced tea.

Began the TD with Shincha Traditional from Hibiki-an. A pretty successful brewing this time.

Next up, Sae Midori from O-Cha ...

Then to complete the shincha trifecta, a decent session of Yuuki-Yutaka from Yuuki-Cha ... can't make this one sing.

Sodas are strictly for mixed drinks...

As coincidence would have it, I drank my first RTD tea in many many months today... a free sample of the Jasmine Adagio RTD I just received with my recent order. As RTD goes, it was not bad at all... unsweetened, decent flavor, only a tiny hint of that "it came from a bottle" aftertaste. I was pleasantly surprised.

That being said, I would never prefer or intentionally substitute home-brewed tea for RTD for any reason other than sheer convenience on rare occasions.

I only really drink soda when I go to the movie theater... they don't have tea, and Coca Cola goes so well with popcorn. :D Otherwise, I don't buy anything RTD.

I never get samples. Its weird. Was blaming it on west coast distribution,
but my last order came from the east coast and still no samples.

Last tea of the day: '10 Nan Tou Si Ji from Hou De.

+1! Which is why most of my sodas are in 2-ltr bottles - they're cheaper and when people are over, we'll go through it fast enough that it isn't flat by the end.

As for RTD, 20-oz or less (i.e. not big jugs of juice and things), I got a case of Adagio's RTD tea, mostly to try since it is nice to have something to grab and go occasionally, and I don't tend to like cold tea (a bummer for me in summer months) - it's good, but I don't think it'll become a regular thing, maybe one every week or two.
I refuse to buy bottled water - I'd rather fill my own water bottle. It's more reusable and much, much cheaper. Honestly, cutting back to primarily water and tea with juice 3-4 times per week has probably really helped keep random calorie consumption at bay, so there's that too.

Snowbud all day at work yesterday, got home, immediately left for dinner, then had some friends over, with some mojito slush that had been in the freezer most of 24 hours - was very good!
