Re: Help me pick a tea brewing apparatus

When I want to brew more than one cup at a time and have the need to separate the leaf from the tea to avoid overbrewing, I just use 2 teapots: I brew in the first one, and pour the tea through a stainless mesh kitchen strainer into a 2nd pot which has been prewarmed. No infusers of any kind. This allows the leaf to be free, permits you to brew any amount you wish, and makes additional infusions of the same leaf a simple process. I own a glass pot and 2 good-sized white porcelain pots, all were very inexpensive and all work like a charm.

If I am making only one cup at a time, I mostly use a kyusu with a built-in strainer... and at work, I use the ingenuitea.

Hope this helps.
