Thanks Chip, Nick, and Artmom for the anniversary wishes! We are pretty much homebodies, so take-out from Subway suits us just fine! It will be followed up with Strawberry Shortcake for dessert.

It's a bit late for me to have tea, but tomorrow I will have mine in my new cup from Bill of Split-Fire Pottery! I'll try to post a photo on TeaWare Show-Off, but I will have to wait for my film (yes, FILM!) to be developed after taking the picture. Our digital camera was ruined last week - long story - so we are currently taking photos 'old school.'
I'm glad you took the Split-Fire plunge, I can't wait to see pics of yours! I find I'm using the two cups I posted more and more these days - the Split-Fire for, well, everything, and the other because I love the colors and pattern in the cup.

Victoria & aya_s- Thanks! It was a pretty good anniversary!

Laura - I'm looking forward to lots of use for my new cup. I sure hope he does more of the turquoise in the future, I want more!

So it was fireworks and not an earthquake? I think I would always be waiting for "the big one" if I lived where you do!

Oh no, we had one! Just reassuring to hear the fireworks as usual these summer evenings. It was a 5.7 in Imperial County; closer towards the Mexico border. No damage reports so far.

I am definitely getting that new teaware cabinet now.

Generally I prefer white or clear to better observe the color of the tea.

However, after I've had a certain tea so many times that I could probably pick out its exact tone on a color wheel, I tend toward teaware with fairly neutral, earthy colors.
